WHO WE ARE
We are a grassroots coalition of people who want to save the trees in Grant Park. We all agree that mature trees should be respected in any developmental plans for the area, despite varying opinions on a parking deck and politics.
The original deed for Grant Park protects this land for use as a public park in perpetuity. These trees are the soul and lungs of our city. We feel passionately about these trees and we know others do too. Let’s find a way to save them together. Here are our goals:
Educate the broader public about the importance of Atlanta’s tree canopy and the developmental threat to the tree canopy in Atlanta’s oldest city park
Clarify the plans currently in motion
Give voice to those who haven’t had an opportunity to be heard in this process
